Thomas Kiørboe from Centre for Ocean life received the G.A Hageman Gold medal.
Thomas Kiørboe received the G. A. Hageman Gold Medal from the Technical University of Denmark for his contributions to marine science. The presentation was made on May 8 at the University annual commemoration day attended by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and Prince Consort Henrik. This medal is awarded at irregular intervals in recognition of contributions in engineering science research. The citation lauded Thomas for “his ability to blend mathematical models and analyses with physical principles to achieve the most surprising insights, and for his rare ability to use his observations to infer the larger biological patterns”.
