Martin has been awarded a prestigious Young Investigator's Grant to support his ambitious and exciting new research ideas.
Martin Lindegren, a senior scientist at the Centre for Ocean Life / DTU Aqua, has been awarded a prestigious VILLUM FONDENs Young Investigator Grant. The goal of the Young Investigator Programme is to provide opportunity to highly talented young researchers in the technical and natural sciences and to support their ambition as independent researchers.
Martin's project will use observational data on marine fish communities, covering a pronounced biodiversity gradient to investigate the key patterns, processes and underlying mechanisms of the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in marine ecosystems worldwide. The 4-year grant will allow the recruitment of a post-doc and two PhD students.
The award ceremony will take place on 22nd January.
Congratulations Martin and good luck with your new and exciting projects!
